Sunday is traditionally a day to head to the beach - even more so last weekend as local families celebrating Día de la Familia mingled with the tourists.

Could you let me know about the condition of the Flamingo Cancun resort and the surrounding beach area?
The company my husband works for has scheduled several employees and their spouses a vacation there from March 23rd through March 27th.

Janice - the Flamingo’s beach was washed away. This photo was taken from the hotel in February. The beach recovery teams will not reach the Flamingo until approx. the first week in April. You’ll need to travel a little further south along the strip to enjoy the freshly reclaimed beach.
